Who We Are
Lawrence D. Murray is a seasoned trial attorney and community contributor who has consistently demonstrated himself as a strong advocate and negotiator for the less fortunate or wrongfully accused. Since 1977, he has worked in the areas of litigation, including personal injury, product liability, employment discrimination and large family law matters. He has tried approximately 100 jury trials to verdict, arbitrations, and other similar proceedings. He has protected the rights of police officers injured in the line of duty and defended clients suffering from police misconduct. He has successfully prosecuted and defended individuals against claims of sexual harassment and discrimination. He has done multiple class action cases.
During his thirty six plus years as an attorney, he has formed and defended corporations and their corporate interests in California State and Federal Courts and occasionally neighboring states. He has counseled clients regarding divorce, child custody, spousal support, wills, trusts, real estate, and other transactional matters. He served as a trial attorney for the San Francisco District Attorney for five years before opening his private practice in 1983.
Robert Strickland is an accomplished attorney with over seven years of experience in civil litigation, alternative dispute resolution and transactional work. His primary focus over the last three years with Murray & Associates has been in the employment litigation field, including the representation of various union members, unions, employees, employers, and civil servants throughout California. Mr. Strickland’s comprehension of the laws and regulations affecting employees, organizations, corporations, administrative agencies, and state and local governments has proven an invaluable asset to the firm and client satisfaction.
In addition to employment law, Mr. Strickland’s legal practice and expertise include: personal injury, environmental law, transactional law, toxic torts, and consumer protection laws. Most recently, Mr. Strickland has been named class counsel in a complex constitutional class action lawsuit in the County of San Francisco.
Mr. Strickland is admitted to practice law in all courts in the State of California, the Northern, Eastern, and Central District Federal Courts, as well as the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Frank Falkenburg began his law career in litigation with Murray & Associates in 1992. From 1994 through 1998, Frank focused on aspects of Athlete Representation including all aspects of contracts, endorsements, intellectual properties, and licensing. Frank continued through 2010 with primary focus on licensing, business management, and intellectual properties. In 2010, Frank took on additional responsibilities with Murray & Associates as a litigator and has since handled personal injury and decedents estate cases. His work in personal injury has focused on the areas mold related injury, premises liability and traffic collisions. He has participated in trials of victims of extortion, and unlawful taking from heirs in decedent’s estates matters, included trust litigation. He has developed a practice which includes protecting clients from loss of survivorship rights in partnerships, Wage and Hour Claims, and Will Contests. Frank continues to work with and advise clients on litigation and in transactional matters involving products liability, contracts, intellectual properties, business start-up, and brand marketing.
Frank’s client list includes a wide variety of people from victims of traumatic brain injury, spinal cord trauma, nerve damage, and severe orthopedic injuries arising from construction site accidents, industrial accidents, dangerous premises, auto accidents, wrongful death, governmental or public entity liability, and professional negligence, to stars past and present in the tennis world, Mom entrepreneurs wanting to make the world a better place through collective action, and business leaders wanting to bring their products to market.
Frank moved to California from Alabama and was admitted to practice before California State and Federal courts in 1992. When Frank is not at his desk or in the courtroom you can find him surfing, snowboarding or fishing with his wife (Kimberly), son (Corbin), and dog (Mochi).
Laura Schuster studied law in Germany followed by a two-year legal clerkship at the regional court of Frankfurt. For five years, she worked in employment law at an international law firm and is participating as an intern at Murray & Associates (summer 2013) to round out her studies and legal clerkship.
Jonathan Wong is the office manager. He has been with the firm for over twenty years. In addition to handling the general management and day-to-day operations of the firm, Jonathan provides legal support to the attorneys and is the firm's controller.
